Great copywriting skills are necessary for success in the internet business arena. Your ad copy will determine the conversions your Landing Page.
Recently I put up a new landing page on a web site. I put in the information I felt necessary to convey my message. I thought all was well. Wow, was I wrong! After watching the impressions my ad was getting verses the Click Through rate, I knew something needed changed.
As I reviewed the site a few hours later, I realized that I had left out some major things. What I knew and what I had written together told my story. I was taken back that an experienced writer like me would make such a rookie mistake.
The real story of Compelling Ad Copy is this one thing: “Does your copy grab your visitor’s attention?” Do your words paint a picture of your message? Have you knitted the strands of words into a fabric that your readers want to reach out and touch?
If you are selling vacations, did your visitor feel the sun on their face? If you are building a list of network marketers, did you offer them a real escape from their pain and frustration if they opt in on your capture page? Your webpage visitors must sense there is something of value waiting for them in exchange for their email address.
I know in this video age that ad copy is often not given the consideration it deserves. After the last round of Google slaps, good solid original content is a must. All those professionally written replicated websites out there that Google doesn’t like anymore have great ad copy. Unfortunately there is nothing original or unique about having your name associated with website number 2001 version C.
The best way to gain attention is to be original in your ad copy, offer value, gain your visitor’s interest without telling the whole story, offer a glimpse into the value of your offer, and tell them the rest of the story lies beyond the aweber box just below the video. Sell the sizzle, sell the benefits, give your visitors something to consider. This type of ad copy can be mastered without fluff or sensationalism.
Use your ad copy to position yourself as real and trustworthy. Continue to practice your ad copy and soon you will master it. Study the best on the net. The young painters in Paris were required to study from those considered to be “masters” for a very simple reason: The masters could take a brush and paint and create a masterpiece. With practice and study, you will soon be able to craft a masterpiece of Compelling Ad copy.
In Summary, be real, be interesting, use keywords conservatively, use hypnotic phrases that tells your reader the action that you desire them to take. and be sure write just enough copy to get the job done. Don’t forget to split test all off your content not just your headlines.
